Book Signing

Hi everyone, been a while since I’ve been on here blogging away. Just to let y’all know I’ve arranged a book signing at the Book Fare in the Forbes Buildings on Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough this Saturday coming probably from about 10:00.

Release Date for 'My Little Blue Book'

Ok people I’m going to be a bit more specific from now on.

The erotic fiction I’ve been working on; a collection of erotic short stories called ‘My Little Blue Book’ will be released on the 27^th September.

The first draft of my collection of erotic short stories has just now been uploaded to my publisher’s website. ‘My Little Blue Book’ is well on track for its launch in the back end of September!!!

Getting there

Excellent past few days, I managed to get one of the stories I’d written down typed up and got another one fully finished. Had a bit of a night off last night at a burlesque show: was excellent as always – I saw some very exciting and imaginative acts, sexy, artistic and funny all rolled into 1, I was impressed. I think I’m going to put the order for the adverts for my next book out soon too: All very exciting.

Plodding along

OK then I’ve finished my latest short story and I’ve begin the next. I’ve had so many inspirational ideas over the past few days I’ve got half a notepad with scribbling’s of stuff I need to write up into short story form. Well on Track for the September realise date.

busy times

I sat my UKCAT test again today: I did OK scoring about the same as last year. I’m filling out yet another application to medical school. I’ve got about half way through typing up the short story I’m submitting for creative writing and now I need to start writing up the physics portfolio. I’ve managed to get a bit of spare time to myself and finished the last scene of one of the erotic short stories I intent to publish in September done, naturally I’ll post links to any suppliers in various countries online when it comes out either here or on my author website @ sites.google.com/site/AllanMcLeodOnline

Short story for creative writing

Just finished the first draft of the short story I have to write to pass the creative writing night-class; type it up and send it in: and then I’m done. I did a crime short story about a Medical Examiner getting called out to look at a crime scene.

Get that done and then back to the erotic fiction: I’m imposing deadlines on myself now – I’m going to have the first draft done by August and hopefully submit the final by September.

I’m still making notes for my other projects – Watch this space people.

The joys of writing

It’s great when you’re a writer and a great idea for a short story just pops into your head: well the one that just formed in my mind is practically like a Benny Hill sketch, but I think I can make it into a good story.

Why I love a good pub

Never underestimate the benefit of a good homely pub to sit and write a novel in. I’ve got my 2 hidey-holes in Middlesbrough to it down in with a pencil and a pint, and I can write half a short story in a day or get a good way though the chunk of a chapter just sat down behind a table when its quiet.

Anybody thinking of being a writer needs 4 things: a writing pad, a pencil, a homely pub to write in and a laptop to type it up on later.
